According to court filings, Metro said she told first responders she did not w ant to be taken off the trail by helicopter, but rescuers decided to airlift her instead. During th e rescue, the basket carrying her began spinning uncontrollably while suspended below the h elicopter. Metro and her husband later filed a claim against the City of Phoenix, alleging the r escue caused serious injuries and led to major medical bills.
