@simonsinek: We have to have courage to see the Infinite Game—to see the purpose of business as something more than simply making money. Video from Nordic Business Forum (Helsinki) 2025, in conversation with Maddy Savage
They should stop selling soda & cookies as well. Maybe even propose veggies

I remember reading a study years ago which showed a higher percentage of physicians smoke cigarettes than the general population. It’s odd that a physician was the catalyst for change.

Most corporations are still businesses and I’ve been told constantly as consultant “doing the right things isn’t a business model” when they are losing money eventually they go out business. They still have to make money end of day it’s business

This is why Wall Street is not the economy. Shareholder values are less than citizens values 99 times out of 100. This why fractionalized stocks are gonna closer align citizen values to company values.

Remember when Walgreens stopped selling alcohol and now they sell alcohol. Do they care about the health of their customers.

CVS is constantly on the verge of bankruptcy. In the 90s, in 08, their healthcare unit just filed last week. But yes, let’s hold them up as an example.

Companies don't make decisions. The people who run them do.

I wonder if this happened before they were a publicly traded company. Unfortunately, it seems that they are no longer quite so interested in that purpose. The well-documented working conditions for the pharmacy staff border on criminal. I wish they would apply that same purpose to taking care of their employees, which would lead to better patient/customer care.

Do you know the Credo of Johnson & Johnson? I was so proud to be their high potential. Put all my money in their pension fund. They turned out to have changed their policy - leaving 14.000 employees in the UK and NL with the worste pension in Europe.. So that Credo was flushed…

Too bad the drugs they sell are probably more harmful and dangerous vs cigarettes 🤷♂️. IMO.
