@robotics: Why fly everywhere when you can bounce? HopTo’s Hop-1 is a hybrid robot designed to hop across rough terrain using a passive spring, while its rotors handle steering, stability and the occasional full flight. The company says hopping uses around 25% of the energy of continuous flight, meaning the robot can spend far longer moving without draining its battery just to stay airborne. It looks unusual, but the idea is simple: stay on the ground when you can, fly when you have to. Media: Hoptotech #Robot #robots #robotics #ai #artificialintelligence
