oh my God, why is everyone saying that he abandoned Maomao😭 he really didn’t, didn’t y’all watch the show? they kept him away from her. He kept wanting to see her and her mom, but they didn’t want him to see her and he didn’t even know that he had a kid because they sent him abroad okay, like he had no idea of knowing that he had a daughter and when he came back and he wanted to meet his daughter and her mom they didn’t let him😭

The fact that they tried to spin him as the bad guy gasses me I’m ngl, completely unnecessary subplot maomao treated dude like he was hitler when in reality he was just a poor guy barred from raising his daughter and being with the woman he loved AGAINST HIS WILL

When he looked at fengxian and only saw her beauty, not her rotting and diseased face I genuinely balled my eyes out. He was so in love with her still bru

it’s so bittersweet that fengxian doesn’t look like that irl and it’s closer to a living corpse but lakan only remembers her old face what an unfortunate series of events
