Do you know, SHA is the Authority Body.. The System is just an ICT tool for efficacy, and it will be upgraded, changed as time goes. All systems have Challenges and new needs, need licencing for Data etc. Check out cost of Oracle Database?. considered the number of transaction that it will handle per second???. that's why i said speak to an ICT expert who has implemented a hospital system or banking system. first.

I agree that SHA rollout was rushed. This is typical for any initiative with political influence. The govt it to legally enforce higher contributions, and to defer massive outstanding debts owed to healthcare facilities (a move with its own dark side). While the SHIF under SHA has its shortcomings, it's nothing near tge bogus NHIF. The NHIF system was fundamentally flawed. The current HMIS directive does not force hospitals to adopt a single software. Instead, it provides an integration framework for third-party HMIS vendors to connect with the national digital health superhighway. This framework will eventually allow hospitals to manage all their operations seamlessly within a single ecosystem. The real downside here isn't the software itself, but rather the significant risks surrounding data privacy and data commercialization.

And it's misleading to say eti the SHA system will be open to all HCWs to view client hx. False. As is, any system user is properly created in the system by the DHA. And users are created using domain-based institutional emails. Users are proposed by the Institutions. Each user has defined and limited user rights. Not every one accesses clinical details.

Speak to an expert who has implemented a hospital management system first. Yes they needed this system, but first for system, proper implementation it has to be done systematically. This also means the framework of patients data etc. Baby steps first--- as you implement the full system
