had a team lead during my first real office job. jokingly called me her work!daughter and her my work mommy. took me under her wing and taught me the unspoken rules of working in an office. we went out for lunch one day and she told me she learned that one of our temp coworkers that I DESPISED was going to have her contract ended soon, but didnt have a date yet. I was excited. an hour before the end of the day, she came over to my desk, grabbed a pen and wrote down on a piece of scratch paper a date 2 weeks away and then walked away. didnt say anything else. but from that moment I was counting down the days!

One of the few benefits of my ADHD is I will forget about it completely until I am reminded of the thing, then I remember every detail. Luckily I take just barely long enough to remember I already know the thing that I look confused at first or unaware 😂
