@black.campus.ms: JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson State University student Jakari Holland isn’t backing down. The 21-year-old took to the podium at the Mississippi State Capitol to directly challenge state lawmakers on mid-decade redistricting plans. 🚨💥 Holland warned officials that redrawing lines ahead of the next Census cycle risks diluting Black voting strength across the state. Instead of spending state resources on redistricting, he pushed lawmakers to focus on real voter accessibility and community needs—including online voter registration, expanded early voting, and proper funding for Mississippi’s HBCUs. “There are better ways to spend taxpayer money,” Holland reminded elected leaders. Way to Go Jakari🫱🏾‍🫲🏽 What do you think Mississippi lawmakers should prioritize right now? #OurPower #MSPriority #VotingRights #BlackVoters #Mississippi
