I'm African American & I understand what he meant. He's not wrong. It's sad but it's true.... I remember getting my hair braided as a teenager at the African shop & one of the ladies ask where I'm from. I said "here" she said "eh how you not know where you're from?".......... sucked her teeth in disappointment as if my ancestors asked to American slaves!
