@couplebudgetcoach: DON’T QUIT YOUR JOB FIRST. BUILD YOUR WAY OUT. Your paycheck can give you the stability to test ideas, make mistakes, and build something on the side before taking the risk of going full-time. 1. FIND YOUR BUSINESS SWEET SPOT Look for the intersection of: What you enjoy → What you’re good at → What people will pay for Don’t bet everything on one idea. Come up with several possibilities you can test while you still have a steady paycheck. 2. PROVE PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT IT Don’t spend months building before you know there’s demand. Start small: Offer it → Find real users → Get feedback → Improve → Charge You can even offer an early version free to see whether people are interested before investing heavily in it. 3. START WITH THE FASTEST WAY TO GET PAID You don’t need a huge audience. Use a skill you already have to solve someone’s problem: Design → Writing → Consulting → Marketing → Coaching → Other services A one-to-one service can be one of the simplest ways to start generating revenue from your existing expertise. 4. TURN YOUR SKILL INTO SOMETHING SCALABLE Once you understand what customers need, explore ways to serve more people without selling every hour of your time. Move from: Done for you → Done with you → Do it yourself That might eventually mean workshops, consulting, content, templates, ebooks or other digital products. 5. KNOW YOUR ESCAPE NUMBER Calculate how much your life costs every month: Housing + Bills + Debt + Essentials = Your baseline Then give your side business a financial target. The creator’s personal rule was to wait until the business covered 100% of fixed expenses before considering the move to full-time. 6. FUND YOUR ESCAPE PLAN Decide how much of your current income you can safely put toward building the business. Cut discretionary expenses you care about less and redirect that money toward your new venture. 9–5 income → Business fund → Test → Earn → Reinvest → Grow The goal is to experiment without jeopardizing your financial stability. #financiallyindependent #financialplanning #finance101 #wealthymindset #budgetfriendly
