It looks a lot like Stella Parks’ one-bowl devil’s food chocolate cake, which until now has been my “best” chocolate cake. With a birthday coming up I may need to do a side-by-side. Chocolate cake for everybody!

I have made this cake so many times for so many people and it’s truly an exceptional recipe! I never do the cream because the cake and ganache is already wonderful.
