@gzreel: A group of tourists was seen lying flat on the floor of a wooden boat to squeeze beneath an extremely low concrete bridge along the historic canals of Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The unique canal cruise, known as Kawakudari, has recently gone viral on social media. In addition to passengers having to lie completely flat, the boat operator, known as a sendo, performs an impressive acrobatic maneuver. Using a long bamboo pole, the operator jumps onto the low bridge as the boat passes underneath, quickly runs across it, and then leaps back onto the stern of the boat with remarkable precision. Yanagawa has long been nicknamed the "Venice of Kyushu" thanks to its extensive network of canals, originally built during Japan's feudal era. The traditional donko-bune boat tours remain one of the city's top attractions, offering visitors a unique blend of classic Japanese scenery and the extraordinary skill of its boat operators.
