@theultranurse: Prayers and condolences to everyone affected by the September 30 REACH crash. It’s past time for major change in HEMS. We owe it to this crew and every crew we’ve lost before them. -Brad #HEMS #AirMedical #FlightNurse #FlightParamedic #REACHAirMedical
There are changes that the industry needs. But at the end of the day, it's a dangerous job, and shit happens.

The first change is eliminating about 300 aircraft. The second change is eliminating for profit companies. The third change is DE-DPIFR as a minimum.

❌ :
When the industry stops using AC not meant for EMS, i.e, the EC130, the A-star, and stops pretending their mission statements are “safety first”, then maybe. It’s definitely NOT safety first. It’s profit first. Maybe the industry doesn’t need hundreds of AC per state either. Competition is generally a good thing, but not for this industry.

considering the amount of med flights are flown each day what are the numbers of fatal accidents? i know every loss hurts. but should we never drive again because those rates are so much higher? im not trying to sound insensitive at all. also do we know what happened yet?
