my son. high palette, tongue tie, reflux requiring thickener and meds, rapid head growth off the centile chart. apparently head circumference is a significant characteristic. also being out of this world gorgeous! but that's just my opinion lol

AuDHD. I have a high, narrow palate. Had an expander, spacers, an upper frenectomy, braces, and retainers- all to still have an extremely narrow palate and teeth that have shifted back lol. Also experience first bite syndrome REGULARLY. Idk if there’s a correlation in palate size and/or sensory sensitivities at all but yeah

This is crazy to learn. ASD here with high palate, tons of problems of with sinuses,tooth crowding and the worst gerd I could imagine. Since I was a baby I’ve had severe reflux. My second daughter is also the same except for the gerd she has snoring and apnea issues because of it. I never knew the two were connected

Wait! I have a high pallet and so do all of my children. One of my son’s also has a double uvula. My grandfather had a clef pallet. We have a gene for that as well. We are all autistic

awful reflux as a kid, they just assumed milk allergy but isn't. my mum would have to leave me in my high chair for an hour to help me with food and back then they had no straps. I still struggle with some foods now chewing (we find I take longer to chew certain food)

me and my daughter have high palettes. my daughter has teeth in her palette. her palette is so high those teeth dont bother her.

I have a high palette but I thought it was cos of thumb sucking until age 9. I got assessed for both adhd and autism and got diagnosed with combined adhd and childhood trauma. I didn’t meet the criteria for autism.Also have a tongue tie.

im 46 and noticed i keep pressing my tongue up just behind my front teeth.. I literally don't know where the right placement should be 😅🤦♀️

this is why I let my kid on a biki for a while. her dentist said it's actually helping her high narrow pallet. her brothers went through a high pallet. she's off it now but this is making sense.

ive just discovered your page! im fascinated! I have cowdens syndrome, and am neuro diverse .my geneticist has basically told me I have the typical facial features of someone with cowdens - but im fascinated to understand what the implications of what these facial features are xx

It's mad you're saying this, my daughter isn't diagnosed but she couldn't chew properly and used to spit out when she put too much in. My brother chewed his jumper sleeves. I didn't like the texture of beans and peas

My little one is now 7 is autistic and has a learning disability. He was born prem, high palette, significant silent reflux and also has what the doctors described as dysmorphic facial features. He has had full genome sequencing which came back clear but I’m aware they don’t always check for everything. I’ve always found facial features and genetics so interesting.
