Miraculously, the pilot was able to crawl to the cabin door and unlock it so passengers could get inside to help. The passengers were able to overpower the terrorist despite the plane dropping over 16,000 feet in under a minute. The plane’s rudder was damaged, but landed safely back in Saudi Arabia, thanks to a spare pilot crew on board the cabin. Everyone on board is safe, and the pilot named Smit Machchhar is being hailed as a hero.
