Lmao this isn’t even a trap nor did he even understand JAW points. Blitz's 'trap' relies on a basic category mistake treating Divine Personhood as if it's an added property. In thomism, the Trinity shares “one” simple essence personhood doesn't introduce composition. Adding a 'Quadrinity' as a separate entity would require a distinct essence, which introduces limiting properties and breaks Actus Purus. JAW literally pointed this out right where you cut the clip.

I haven’t watched the full video yet, but about 20 minutes in Blitz gets JaW to commit heresy and contradict himself when JaW agreed to the argument about god creating this world necessarily instead of freely. Again, I’m not sure if JaW resolved this because I haven’t watched the rest, but I started dying of laughter when I heard that.

Btw just want to add both are really low tier from what’ ive seen here, like I’m seeing online that people are asking jaw(Who is really wrong on the fact that we can’t theorize that the trinity is the only coherent concept to the thomistic simple God) to debate dr blitz and other atheists, but if this is their level… i ve explained in my other comment here why to the thomistic framework there is no N-inity that’s coherent with our view of a simple God other than the trinity.

There is no argument from the bottom guy. He is just pointing out instead of Trinity you could have 2,3,4,5 etc. and??? How does that disprove or prove Christianity? Christian’s believe God is all powerful so God could do any of those but just happened to choose 3. Ie I can think of any random number but I choose to select 3, by your logic I can’t select 3 because I can also select 4,5,6 etc? To answer it would be pretty easy actually, cause (by accepting the premise that in simple God as described by aquinas you can recognized immanents acts by virtual distinction and by accepting the premise that God’s nature is an intellectual nature) by virtual distinction you can recognize only two mental operations(intellect and will), two immanent acts and therefore only two relations of origin(one being logically prior to the other) therefore only two persons generated from the father(being the source of the other two hypostasis)

No one is saying that divine simplicity necessitates the trinity. The trinity is something revealed by God -- it is necessitated through that revelation, not divine simplicity.
