@greatbritisharchitecture: Did you spot the fishy detail? Do forgive the cheesy pun, however, I couldn’t help myself but highlight this wonderful little architectural detail in this whimsical manner. Although the herringbone here at Trinity College is as pure and true as examples found in early medieval buildings, it certainly is an interesting example, being so late and employed for an ingenious structural purpose - well at least that’s why I think they used it here.
