They were born into a completely different thing so they have to work harder to first get to our country, then fight to stay and they work hard for status with school among other things so they don’t have to go home or go home broke …. It’s crazy because it doesn’t take “reading between the lines” to understand what he’s saying. People have said these same points for years that the American educational model does not create thinkers but workers. Workers are competent in the areas needed to further a system but not themselves. Other cultures teach differently and will have different focuses than we as Americans will and that’s just a fact. As a black American, our focuses will be on 1000 different things revolving around survival, status, money, etc and someone outside the culture can come in and only need to focus on a fraction of those things and still get farther just due to not being us. Even if they look like us, they are not. We are the hardest workers in a system that’s actively working against us. Point blank.
