So what is the point? We do have the technology to produce H2 from water, but the energy expenditure is greater than the energy production. Unless somebody comes up with a reusable catalyst that lowers the energy input, this really has no value.

That’s not a good hydrogen generator because the natal you are using will need to be replaced very fast and the water will become yellow to brown very fast. Not a good good one. There only 3 things you can use and one of them is stainless steel. The other 2 cost me a lot of time investigating so I am not just giving it away. You will find that positive side will be destroyed very fast.

has anyone ever built one? I've built quite a few. 88 Chevy short bed v6 was getting 80mpg. but had to fool computer severely. new cars it will not work. carbeurated anything it works. requires very little power depending on how big it is. and cannot use distilled water. has to have some sort of minerals in the water. It was getting over my head needing to apply power with engine load. Stanley Westmeiner died and patents still available for using spark plugs on a vw buggy driving across the USA no gas at all. only water.

its already been done. you can purchase the conversion kit and install to any gas burning vehicle. I know someone who has it. it is incredible. 55-60 mpg using 1 litre of demineralized water and some electrolytes. Works for generators as well. All internal combustion motors. This is the way to go. Much better than EVs

We all did this. At 20amps 12v it would produce 2L of gas a minute. Not efficient. A large scale version running on solar could produce compress and store in gas cylinders for a car to use but would cost more to build and run than a car would use in fuel over 10 years. Plus very risky have highly explosive gas.

that releases two types of gas into one hole oxygen highly flammable hydrogen highly flammable when you mix two highly flammable gases together you make explosive explosive is bad and I almost blew my face off doing that design you have to have two separate and one tank of electrolysis water and remove the nut because then we have to find out which line produces hydrogen and which one produces oxygen from positive and negative

Unless you separate the anode and cathode in separate tubes you won’t get hydrogen you’ll get Browns gas instead. HHO

Why not just smoulder wood. Wood gasification takes less energy and is more cost effective.
