Worked at a target starbucks and got wrongfully terminated for a bs lie made up by a guest who hated me outside of work settings etc. They pulled footage of me making a salted caramel coldbrew, it got salt in the cold foam, they say “ur doing something and we dont know what but its something” and i explained i was making the drink. They said an investigation would be opened, got fired mid shift 3 weeks after. When I also asked for time off bc my uncle had passed and i still showed the day after i got called unreliable and told to go home and think ab if i really want the job or not

I have a coworker that works in another department and came over to help because she use to be a Starbucks barista at a corporate store and said that she's starting to think tarbucks is worse and that even our pos system makes life harder for us😂

That’s actually where I first started working at Starbucks, inside Target. I remember it would take me like two hours to close by myself. Apparently, Target would write you up if you went over your scheduled hours because they were trying to save money. 😭 I actually got written up before because I stayed late closing for two hours. The store would be a complete mess because my mid never cleaned anything, so I had to do all the cleaning, the counting, the pull, everything. Then the next person wouldn’t even come in for another three hours, so I was completely by myself with lines out the door. I was taking orders, working the register, making drinks, cleaning, and trying to get everything done at the same time. And the worst part was that you couldn’t really get help from the Target employees because most of them didn’t know how to work Starbucks. So if you were alone, you were basically on your own. It was honestly ridiculous. 😭

Also if they ask you to, hurt their pockets, because HR for sure can’t afford overtime. If you’re already cutting it close and you say, “oh I was tasked to do this and this and this.” Also I never understood why it’s always midshift that has to do pools and not morning. I opened one time and they asks us to get there an hour early it never takes that long to either build the pumps make frap roast or the fucking teas, yal are already pulling pastries.?!
