Both my grandma and my grandpa have done this once before and got so mad that they went into my room, opened my closet, and threw all my hanging clothes onto the floor, forcing me to clean it all up. My whole closet was empty; they also emptied my drawers and locked my door so I couldn’t get out of my room. They told me I wasn’t allowed to leave until I cleaned up everything in the room. But this is just one moment out of so many other ones I’ve experienced, including SA.

I thought it was normal until I saw how my friends acted with their parents, things that would set my dad off the handles screaming and yelling and saying hurtful things and hitting was just “normal” in their relationship but I was genuinely baffled I froze when it happened waiting for a reaction but it didn’t come that’s when I knew something was fucked up
