I really do believe in authenticity. But how can we articulate it with the idea — which also seems true to me — that there is no stable identity, and that everything is relational? For instance, I may feel and want to behave differently depending on the moment and the person I’m with. How can I tell whether I’m masking, or simply responding authentically to what I feel in that particular relationship?

masked proficient enough to own it. trying to uphold it, i was caught in my act. and its pretty painful, because everything in you clashes. truth cannot find its socket to plug in. i dont know if anybody could believe that i do not exaggerate. it is pretty recent that i could see that. ive got no data of myself in my system. unexplainable states. i have been waiting for something to activate in me, viscerally connect me to a circulation. i wouldnt imagine i would feel things that i could only figuratively explain. but i wasnt holding better i was just numb. now it feels hollow as if there is no particle alive in me.
