i finally mastered my hair care but my only issue is the bleach part i’m growing out… it’s TERRIBLE i would get my trims regularly i kept my hair moisturized and it still ended up looking fried and dead so i’m cutting all of the color and starting my growth journey again for the millionth time but it’s okay because now i have the blueprint because my hair was growing A LOT

Very helpful thank you! Started doing trims & I see a difference 😭. Probably for 2027 going to do less braids with extensions & try half wig hairstyles.

Honestly, my hair was the longest and healthiest when my mom was still taking care of it and I simply didn’t care about my appearance yet. 😭 Once vanity and constantly styling my hair came into the picture, it always seemed to stop at the same length. This year I basically stopped styling it and just focused on taking care of my own hair, and I genuinely think my 4C hair just likes to be left alone. So I’ll probably go back to protective styles, but with better Knowledge I guess. And honestly, I believe that for those of us with very tightly coiled hair who want to grow it out, washing it weekly, meaning brushing it while wet, and so on,is actually counterproductive. That has certainly been my personal experience, as my hair started thinning at the front, a problem I had never encountered before. I honestly think we sometimes just do way too much to our hair.

This was so helpful also do you recommend using a leave in conditioner and hair lotion right after or just pick 1 depending how your hair feels?
