Explain to him, what isotonic means. It has the same amount of salt, that the blood has, and therefore it doesn't add additional salt into the system, the concentration stays the same.

I’m the exact opposite of this patient. Just start the iv and only tell me when you’re pushing saline so I can prepare for the metallic taste and smell.

I can literally smell and taste the saline solution when they inject it in the iv, i don’t know if that’s normal.
