@_tiffanyperez_: This message is for me.” 🙋🏻♀️ There were so many signs that you willingly brushed over in the heat of blind hope. Yeah… that one got me. Because sometimes we don’t miss the signs. We see them. We feel them. Some part of us knows exactly what they mean. But when we want something badly enough, we become incredibly good at explaining them away. We tell ourselves to be patient. To give it another chance. To see the best in someone. To wait a little longer. To believe that eventually the situation will become what we always imagined it could be. I’ve done this with relationships. With places. With versions of my life I thought I was supposed to want. I’ve held onto potential long after reality was asking me to pay attention. And I think one of the biggest lessons of this chapter of my life has been learning the difference between trusting the process and forcing an outcome. Not everything that leaves was supposed to stay. Not everything that didn’t work out was a missed opportunity. Not every ending needs to be reversed. Sometimes the thing you were begging life to give you would have kept you from the life that was trying to find you. So I’m trying to spend less time mourning the might-have-beens and more time noticing what keeps carrying me forward: my creativity. My movement. My spirituality. My friendships. My family. My curiosity. My desire to explore. My ability to begin again. The parts of me that somehow keep getting louder and more alive every time something else falls away. Maybe that’s the real message here. Stop building your life around what didn’t choose you, what didn’t stay, or what never became what you hoped it would. Notice what stays. Notice what is constant.
