@viaticglitter7: Nobody talks about what happens when you genuinely regret something. When “I’m sorry” doesn’t feel big enough. When you know you can’t undo what happened, so you start believing the only thing left to do is suffer for it. You stop accepting comfort. You isolate yourself. You convince yourself you don’t deserve kindness. You start interpreting every silence as confirmation that everyone agrees. And eventually, accountability quietly turns into self-punishment. But those aren’t the same thing. Accountability says: “I did something wrong, and I have to own it.” Self-punishment says: “I did something wrong, therefore I am something wrong.” And maybe the hardest part is realizing that destroying yourself won’t undo what you did. It won’t heal the person you hurt. It won’t rewrite what happened. And suffering longer doesn’t make the apology more sincere. Sometimes it's just realizing you'd be better off without, so you dont hurt anyone ever again. #HealingJourney #MentalHealthMatters #Accountability #Depression #Empty
