I know this is merely an individual opinion, but I genuinely cannot understand the mentality of fully grown adults whose only ambition seems to be leaving Egypt. I’m not saying Egypt is perfect, nor that wanting to leave for better opportunities is inherently wrong, but the almost automatic belief that anywhere else must be better genuinely baffles me. Where exactly are you guys planning to go, the Gulf, which is hardly immune to conflict and the struggles faced by migrant workers; the US, where immigrants are facing an increasingly hostile climate; or Europe, which is not some effortless land of prosperity? There is a huge difference between seeking better opportunities and reducing your entire future to the idea of escaping your own country. And honestly, I think we should retain at least some sense of gratitude, respect, and attachment toward the country that has sheltered us and continues to do so despite its enormous constraints.
