Yes!!! My gal pal always says “Wow…. You must be REALLY comfortable with me to tell me that” and I’m like no I’m just really comfortable with myself and everyone all the time. She even has tried to convince me that I’m in love with her too because I ask her how she is everyday and genuinely care about her. Somehow she can’t comprehend that that is just friendship. She thinks she’s so special and it’s HER that is making me comfortable but really I make myself comfortable and am an open book. Sigh.

Sharing info doesn’t threaten my perception of my image or sense of self so people think they’re close and “wow this person overshares”. No babe, I have a lot deeper down and if I didn’t talk about this trivial surface level things I’d literally fry lmao. People really just have a different definition of depth. You shaking in your boots to share things you think are “intimate”. To me that’s just banter babe, and it doesn’t threaten my “mystique” because there’s actual depth beyond what you’re scared to share (mental health things, taboo topics or strange personal opinions, etc).
