PewDiePie just announced Ajax, his own fine-tuned AI model, and it's a more serious project than the jokes make it sound. Ajax is a fine-tuned Qwen 3.5 9B, trained to be an always-on agent inside Odysseus, his open-source self-hosted AI workspace. It searches, browses the web, sorts email and manages your calendar, all on your own machine. He trained it with GRPO: every task runs 16 times, and even one success becomes training signal. He ran out of usable tasks on day four and had to synthesize more. By his own count, version one gets tasks right nine times out of ten. It's also uncensored. He used the open-source tool Heretic to ablate the model's refusals out of the weights, but kept refusals around harming other people or yourself. And OpenAI banned him twice along the way, after he tried to distill seed data from one of its models, which he admits is against the terms. The fine print: you can't download it yet. The page now says it ships when it's ready, there's no model card, license or public benchmark, and the nine-in-ten number is his. Odysseus itself is on GitHub now under AGPL-3.0.
