I usually use my backing fabric as the binding, I just cut it big enough to fold over the top piece a little bit and I think it’s easier than actually binding the quilt. I can’t wait to see it!!🤗

Okkkkkayyy my biggest piece of advice, make sure the sewing ruler you get either has a lip to cling to your mat or it’s the grippy kind, period no sliding. It’ll change your entire experience

Once you get your sewing machine figured out it’s easy. One thing I’d say is start with some easy no pressure projects. So then you get what you’re doing and it’s not so stressful on her quilt. I didn’t do that and I started sewing last fall and tried to make a Christmas tree skirt as my first project

I have the same sewing machine and loveeee it! Only thing it doesn’t do that I would like is a zigzag stitch to finish seams but you can still definitely make some great projectsZ
