Easier said than done.😅 I detach at my breaking point. I don’t go through depression, I go through the emotions and acknowledge where I’m at, thereafter I detach. Detachment without dealing with your emotions is way too exhausting and self inflicted torture for me. Nkare Kai bipetsa and that’s one thing I can’t do to myself.

Guys I also want to say that it's okay to be the person that cries or grieves loss as long as you don't make a fool of yourself by trying to make things work or reaching out to beg for a 2nd chance. Please don't beg for a chance or try to prove your worth. Being an empath or being emotional means that you actually go through the pain and emotional side of it before complete detachment. I hope that makes sense
