The math simply doesn't add up for working families in Georgia. You cannot match a $2,000 rental market—or $3,200 monthly mortgage payments on a $400,000 Atlanta home—with $15-an-hour paychecks. Georgia's wage floors haven't caught up to modern living costs, leaving workers stretched far beyond their limits. To afford $15-an-hour income standards, rent would need to cap out around $800 a month. State leaders must address this gap by raising wage baselines so people can actually afford to live where they work."

It is going to get worse. This is why we must pool resources and help one another. No one should be homeless period. People who laugh at the misfortune of others are pitiful souls and may experience the same thing soon. I’m sure it won’t be funny when it’s them.

They always said they couldn’t raise minimum wage because they would have to raise the cost of living overall. Well, the cost of living went up 100%, where tf is the pay increase???

Good time to start selling cardboard boxes, and some tarps. The wealthy will be investing in higher privacy fences they’re gonna have to go from 6 feet to 12 feet.

yes everywhere it's like this. The homeless rate in California is off the chain. Atlanta is no different from elsewhere in the United States. State politicians, police, and landlords all are dabbling in corruption. Employers and anyone in business are doing the same.
