@welcometoarizona: Well… Arizona just tied with 2024 for its hottest summer ever recorded. 🥵 And somehow, monsoon season is still lingering. 🌧️ Source: NOAA #ArizonaWeather #ArizonaHeat #RecordHeat #Phoenix #WelcomeToArizona
Summer of 2020 was hotter I believe 40 days over 115

I don’t think this is true. We didn’t hit 120 at all this summer, not that I’m aware of. 120 is a very normal temp. for us so yeah I don’t think so.

That's a lie, we had like 4 days over 110. Very far from being comparable to any Summer in the previous decade

Not even close. A few years ago, we were hitting 122 and the 110s quite a bit. It’s summer in the desert. Monsoons sure have changed though.

No it wasn’t. We didn’t go over 120 this year, so how the hell is this the worst when summer we’ve had

“Not nearly as hot as it was back in ‘83.” -some boomer, probably.

This is a statewide analysis verses city by city. The factors were not temperature but overnight temps staying higher than normal due to moisture and high pressure. I must admit I don’t like humidity and I found this summer uncomfortable due to the high pressure and moisture. I’m built for 106-118 and 5% humidity. We were a constant 20-30% humidity with spikes in the 50-60%. I believe I experienced this 1 other time in 40 years.

believe you me. ive worked in Arizona construction for 26 years and this was the year I ended up in the hospital with extreme dehydration even tho I drink gallons of water. apparently just drinking water isnt enough. you have to take the 4 essential electrolytes every 4 hours. I electrolyte drink for every 64oz of water.

this is probably one of the coolest Summers that I've experienced in Arizona in the 16 years that I've lived here... it was so fucking wet this year. we barely cracked 110... like they're not that many days that were 110.

This was one of the more mild summers I’ve lived here for and I’ve been here 20 years. I never hear about how crazy hot it felt in 2014/2015/2016.

It’s because they keep building houses and taking up farmland which cools the areas … new subdivisions, new cement, new asphalt of course it’s going to be the hottest on record. How many houses were built this last year?
