idk why people would argue that this is a good option when its not adressing the real underlying issue at all. if we want to fix voter education and knowledge then we should teach more about government and political systems in schools thats the only way people would even be able to pass a stupid ass teat like this. and also equal education is a big thing too not all schools have the same funding and resources and if we cant ensure all schools are equal and accessible then this makes this idea so much worse too

I think instead of voting for a person, you should do a questionnaire based on policies. And then the candidate that most suits your answrs gets your vote, and preferential voting on top of that of course

Not iq tests but i feel like there should be prerequisites regarding your general competency and progression in life. In a perfect world, i mean. I wouldn’t say an 18 yr old living in their parents house should have equal voting power to say a 25 year old who has their own their own house and/or married with children. Maybe even a requirement to do community service for elderly folk. For the sake of creating a mature, unbiased, and perspective-seeking voter base who have nuance. Iq matters but it’s not everything there’s so many more psychological facets which form your actual decision making it’s just a small piece of the puzzle. The obsession with iq is kinda lowiq icl.
