He remains sovereign even when the wound is deep and the answer is hidden. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” Job 13:15. We must be slow with suffering people. Job’s friends spoke many true things and still wounded him because they did not understand his pain or God’s purpose. A suffering saint does not always need quick explanations. Sometimes he needs silence, mercy, and the steady witness that God has not stopped being God. Let our faith be made ready before the dark day comes. May Christ become dearer than comfort, dearer than answers, dearer than life itself. The hour of loss will reveal whether we only loved His gifts or whether we truly treasured Him.
