International tourists, I hope, will stay low like that. Lots of Filipinos have issues with tourism without understanding the importance of domestic tourism. If we become like Thailand, lots of tourist spots will become more expensive for us, to the point that we can't travel there at all. Actually, this is already happening in some parts of the Philippines like Siargao and Palawan, which is very bad for our domestic tourism. People should realize that we don't need to rely heavily on international tourists because our domestic tourism is the one keeping our tourism industry alive. Our domestic tourism spending is actually much bigger than Thailand's, and the Philippines also has one of the biggest tourism GDP contributions in Asia.

When in Thailand, a visitor can visit neighboring countries because its on the Asian mainland. In the Philippines, you get to move around various exciting places and still be in the Philippines.

Thailand is connected with the Continent of Asia even just a train you can be a tourist but in the Philippines it needs an airplane or a ferry or ship even a cruise ship meaning visiting Philippines is more expensive
