@gunpowpowder: Just watched this and I’m in love. Caught Between My Master and His Imposter / 绝对臣服 There is something deliciously tragic about a man obligated to protect the human who breaks him, only to find himself being cherished by the inhuman creature that steals his master’s face. Cole is bound by duty to protect Julian, a twisted man who has never treated him as anything more than something to use. But when a deep-sea creature takes Julian’s place, the same face that once brought Cole pain begins offering him something dangerously unfamiliar: tenderness, protection, and an obsession that makes him impossible to escape. Elio is fascinating because he is both terrifying and strangely tender. He may have stolen Julian’s face and inherited fragments of his memories, but beneath that borrowed identity is a creature whose fixation on Cole blurs the line between monstrous possession and genuine devotion. Meanwhile, Cole’s struggle between fear, duty, and the desire to be loved makes their dynamic all the more compelling. If you love dark supernatural romance, morally complicated characters, obsessive devotion, and the kind of tension that makes you question whether you should be terrified or completely enamored, this is one to put on your watchlist. Because sometimes, the most frightening thing isn’t falling in love with a monster, it’s discovering that the monster might be the safest place you’ve ever known.
