A quick, budget-friendly Mexican-inspired salmon taco recipe packed with high protein, anti-inflammatory spices, and fresh ingredients suitable for the whole family. Ingredients: - 4 (4-ounce) salmon fillets - 1 teaspoon turmeric - 1 teaspoon cumin - Salt and pepper to taste - 8 whole wheat tortillas - 2 cups shredded cabbage - 1/2 cup chopped cilantro - 1/4 cup lime juice - 1 tablespoon olive oil - 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) - 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped - 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup - Optional: hot sauce or salsa for serving Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). 2. Season the salmon fillets with turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper. 3. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, until cooked through. 4. Meanwhile, prepare the cabbage slaw: in a bowl, toss shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside. 5. Make the berry salsa: in a small bowl, combine berries, red onion, honey, and a bit of lime juice. Mix gently. 6. Once the salmon is cooked, flake it into bite-sized pieces. 7. Warm the whole wheat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. 8. Assemble the tacos: divide flaked salmon among tortillas, top with cabbage slaw and berry salsa. 9. Serve immediately with optional hot sauce or salsa. #Recipe #cooking #foodtiktok #homemade #EasyRecipes #DinnerIdeas #mealprep Save this for later!
