I was on Ketamine during an awake procedure, which was 4 hours long. It felt like 20 minutes and I barely remember any of it, so I completely understand how Jane Doe was awake and able to somewhat understand/move but be competely out of it.

This is the first time I’ve heard somebody talk about the effects of ketamine, was given ketamine during my first C-section, and I remember feeling like an out of body experience, but I was also speaking and I remember what I said so technically I remember asking the surgeon a question, but I was completely unable to have any control of my body. And if that is how she was feeling, there’s no way she could have consented.
