i was still feeling very rough after my first breakup. it had been a couple months but was still scared to date again. my friend told me to get on a dating app and just talk to people without having any expectations. so i did, and the one guy i actually swiped on, he swiped back. deleted tinder after a week. we've been together for over 2 years now. he's so kind and gentle with me .. he doesn't pressure me about my job or my living situation, we're just content that we have each other. we had our first vacation together last week. we went to prague! i love him so incredibly much i honestly don't know what id do without him

it actually is crazy to think about how many choices we both made in life that brought us closer to meeting eachother, born in countries nearly 10hrs flight from eachother yet here we are, 2 years together, engaged and baby due in 8 weeks

my husband and I met online after being pretty down and sad, and downloading PoF. He was in the army in a camp 80 miles away (we'd both set our limits to ~30km). The same camp is where my dad was based when he was younger and got married, so I have 2 siblings there who I hadn't seen for 10 years (they dont speak to my dad). I'd had 200 messages from complete weirdos and I was JUST about to delete the app when he messaged me. I initially turned him down because he was younger than me, and even though I'd said since I was young that I wanted to marry a soldier, I grew up and knew their reputation, and I had a 2 year old son who I needed to protect. He gave me a bit of context, asked again, I reluctantly agreed. He drove all the way to pick me up the next day, we went for dinner, it was literally love at first sight. We took an hour to order dinner because we kept talking an laughing. 8 years on we're married, he is the best dad to my son, we have our own home, a daughter together and a dog. We've lived through the highest highs and the lowest lows and I still adore him and he, me. To think I turned him down at first genuinely terrifies me.

Meeting naturally is such a magical thing when you really think about it. Every decision & choice in life played a role. Met my fiance & babys father in the gym, we’d often be in there till midnight, it would be empty and it would just be us. Every day I’d be thinking “I wonder if he’s going to be there tonight”, was the highlight of my day for weeks before we spoke😆and turns out he was thinking the exact same thing!🥹later on when we were dating, he had shown me old messages to his mates saying things like “her hair looks amazing today” when I’d do a different style, cutest thing ever🙈

the amazing thing about my partner and I is that I'm Romanian and him Portuguese and we met in UK. the 1st job that I had in UK was very far to the second one (about 5 hours drive),but I decided to resign and found myself working at the same hospital that he was and as foreigners renting from the company the same house... this is how, now 7 years old relationship, started.
