@kissing.parasites: The forbidden straight slit. If you want to easily sew a straight slit, try this. Needle Type: Universal Needle Size: 80 Foot: All purpose Thread Type: All purpose Suggested Fabric: Lightweight/Medium/Heavyweight Stitch Set-Up: Universal straight stitch length Directions: 1) Take two pieces of fabric with a 3”-4” notch on either side. With the wrong side up, fold the notch inward (parallel at the corner). Sew a line along the edge, then another line at 1/4”. With right sides facing, overlap the notches, fold back the top layer, then start stitching in the gap to sew the two pieces together. 2) Make a small cut right underneath the two notches. Press the seam over and open the pieces. Smooth out the facing and sew a stitch right along the edge of the left fabric piece. Make sure the seam allowance is laying to the left. Follow with a second row of stitching at 1/4”. Finally secure with a bar tack at the top of the slit. Now you have a clean, straight slit. This method works great for jacket sleeve slits. These are the last few days to be added to the crewneck preorder. Make sure you secure your spot. Link in bio. #sewingtutorial
