Left was about 5 hours before our outdoor wedding. A tropical depression right over us. Vs the wedding. We said we will weather the storms together and that was our lesson. A pandemic wedding, sketchy weather…but in the end us…into a perfect forever.

It rained on our wedding day. The photos we took outside had perfect lighting… but she is beautiful in any lighting. The rain felt like God washing away the past, the mistakes we made before we ended up with each other. Seventeen and a half years later, and we are still madly in love. She’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Rain is redeeming, renewing, refreshing. New beginnings, a new story. Congratulations!

Everything was perfect. Or maybe it just seemed that way, because her becoming my wife was all that mattered. One of the very best days of my entire life. We celebrate 10 years in two weeks. Our 4-year old niece kept calling our wedding her “Marry Me” party. At about 11 pm after she danced the night away she was being carried to the car by her dad and they stopped to say goodbye to my wife and our niece said, “Lulu, thank you for the best day of my life.” She was asleep before she got buckled into the car.

We had Taco Bell as our first meal as a married couple. We tried to get dinner at the motel we were staying at, but we kept getting ignored. TB was the only place open. But it didn’t matter. I was with her. Now every year, we make “Taco Bell at home” to celebrate with our kids.

We had beautiful weather on our wedding day, but the hairdresser flaked and didn’t show up. There was a venue maintenance employee who heard about it and literally said, “I’ve been waiting for this moment!” He went to his car and got his whole hairdressing kit out (he had been studying for a while), and did my wife’s hair, and it turned out great! My wife literally had her wedding hair done by a maintenance man! 😂😂😂 we’ll be married 22 years, this year. 😊

my groomsmen helped decorate our apartment with tons of Christmas decor it was wonderful! i gave them cash and said go crazy Christmas decor! they also left a bottle of motor oil for us as a joke😂 and all the decor prep was so good🥰

We eloped to Key West. Sunset on the beach. Wife got her hair done and everything. Massive summer storm rolled in. We ended up getting married the very next morning at sunrise. Not a cloud in the sky. We have been married 17 years now. Been together for 26 years. It all worked out they way it was meant to. She had a rough night sleeping though, trying to keep her hair neat.
