@lexnovalawyer: Ben Affleck used AI for “lots of things” in his new Netflix movie Animals but he won’t tell us where. That’s intentional. Affleck has been pretty clear about where he thinks AI belongs in filmmaking: as a production tool, not the filmmaker. Fix a shot. Change a background. Solve a production problem. But the human still decides what the movie should look and feel like. Now Animals is putting that philosophy into practice. The AI is somewhere in the movie. If Affleck got it right, we’re not supposed to know where. #BenAffleck #Animals #AI #Filmmaking #Netflix

What if he’s lied about the ai and didn’t use it? Plus ai has been used in film for years there’s many with ai used there was 1 movie that used it on set to de-age people on set while acting it was pretty good if u didn’t know the actor u wouldn’t have noticed. Ai was released too early to the public cause people abused it and now it’s abusing us ai has a long way to go but in film it’s been perfected do I prefer no Ai yes but there’s no escaping it and Ai can be used for good many tools in editing us Ai many short cuts if u think about it is Ai if u edit something and ctr z ur giving the artificial intelligence inside the computer to short cuts and remove something for u instead of u going back and doing it urself if Ai is done write with no exploiting of it or others it should work great

I see it as equivalent to special effects. We’ve used digital tools for decades now to achieve effects which practical techniques could never do. What matters is the and the creativity that inspired it.

Human movie, for the lead and main actors, and throw away a bunch of behind the camera jobs that might have to deal with some organised group which would ask for livable wages and healthy work environment. With Endgame clips recycling how the costume design pushed to AI for all the cast instead of giving pre production time to build at least 5 of the human costumes

I am rooting for this. He is doing video-to-video. You keep the performance and change the environment, lighting and clothing if you want to. It's Virtual Production in steroids, but nothing of the AI part changes the performance. There is more changes on Marvel movies than this process.

AI is a great filmmaking tool as long as the performances are driven by real actors. It’s going to create way more jobs than it’s going to take away.

The quality effects also cost money for the usage of the technology and sometimes take even more to create, so that means the Indie filmmakers will still not be able to use it and it takes away so many jobs from creative people and gives them to IT\data technician

He demonstrated that given a gray background with various props and certain aspects of set dressing, a staircase here, a traffic light there, the location could be used for Ai
