Never and I repeat NEVER "give" something over to a museum. There are ways of allowing them to do all of that while still maintaining ownership. The right thing to do, would be to give it to the descendents of the people it came from, and if you can't do that then keep it and lone it out to the meusem. Now they just own another amazing piece of history that they get to choose whatever happens to it.

my grandma has poppies that are so old they arnt genetically modified. they were from her great aunts garden in Hungary.

me listening to this and staring at my great grandpa's "knick knack" shelf I inherited thats filled with arrowheads, fossils, old tools and a weird small woven box...all stuff he found while exploring when he was a kid....😳
