I always heard that buying a home was a good investment but since we paid full price for this house (because we didn’t know about all the damage) even after all the repairs, we couldn’t sell right now

My husband and I bought our first house and decided to start renovations. A year later, I was on maternity leave and my job called saying they were closing and we had to decide if I would find a new job or relocate 2 hours to stay with the company. We ultimately decided to sell our house after a year and relocate with 2 kids… such a hard decision to make

That’s what we did! We bought the small go house in a really well off great neighborhood, at the time we offered a little over asking because of the location and this was at the beginning of Covid where ppl weren’t buying so the market was more favorable to us. I’m so happy because our home value has doubled, we get offers but we’re not dumb. We are staying with our Covid interest rate till we die!

When we started looking for our FIRST house my mother gave us the best advice. Once you find your desired neighborhood don’t stress over finding the perfect house. You will make the house a home build equity to buy your forever home. Sold our first home 8 years later with 2 kids pocketed 80 thousand😊
