umm, idk, my dad and his friends/brother used to go up to Canada for fishing, and coming back isn't that easy, yes it's life n death. my concern is was she couldn't be with her sister thru this, but with the friend to help take care of the kid. I think just expecting him to come back when he can is more reasonable. yes, maybe you're alone physically but being mad and turning him away is making you even more alone.. just my opinion.. also, my dad missed me having chickenpox because he was gone.. totally different, but I can empathize with the wanting them back to support
