@scrippsnews: President Donald Trump renewed his pledge to provide a $5,000 payment to every American adult if Republicans retain control of Congress in the 2026 midterm elections. Speaking at a campaign event in Ohio, Trump again promoted the proposal, which he has called a “Trump Dividend,” as he works to energize voters ahead of November's elections. The plan would require congressional approval and has sparked debate over its cost, funding and legality.
