and yet we see the EXACT SAME STARS IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE FOR 100S OF YEARS

That doesn't make any sense. Ok, it lapped 47 times. But if you go back in time to that exact place, that place would be unlapped 47 times also. Can't go BACK in time but things keep going forward. Can't go BACK in time and see flying cars. To go back in time mean going back to the original. Otherwise, your not really going back in time, you're just jumping to another location.
C'mon Neil, gotta do better! [Tears of joy]

but if you travel through time, wouldn't the earth be in the same spot it was in ,in 1979? im no astro physician or anything but its not going to be anywhere it never was

That sounds like a design failure of the machine. Obviously any Time Machine should automatically adjust for spacial regression

Surely by going back you'd also reverse time back to where the earth was at that time?

Im fairly sure if you could develop a working Time Machine, you’d have the knowledge to work out where the earth would have been and not have this problem.

except you would be going back to where the earth was so you would still be on earth....

But if space and time are one according to you it’s called spacetime. Then if we go back in time then we also go back in space. Soooooo really this doesn’t make sense.

so not a time machine but a space-time machine

As if you couldn’t program a Time Machine to account for physical displacement.. come on. If you can bend time you can bend space. I thought NDT was smarter than this

But if u went back in time you would be going back to where the earth was situated in the universe at that time , would you not ?

FOR THE LOVE ❤️ OF PRINCE :
If time travel were possible, it wouldn't just involve moving Earth back in time; the entire universe would have to rewind simultaneously. If only Earth moved back, it would be completely out of sequence with everything else and likely collide with other celestial bodies. Therefore, true time travel requires the location and state of the whole universe to shift at once."

Wait so someone could’ve made a Time Machine but just couldn’t prove it cause they died in space

Rafa The Painted Wolf :
The movie and Book “The Time Machine” had spatial-temporal displacement done right, the vehicle was a! geographical anchor, staying in one place. When he hit the lever, the machine moved a-day-at-a-time versus jumping far into the future. 👏 nicely done H.G. Wells.

that is easily fixed with a space location correction device which is standard on all time machines

🤔 so does that mean time travel potentially was already done, except travelers went and got dumped out into space? Thats gotta suck

How does the universe expand 300 light years in 47 years. Maybe I don't understand but I thought a light year is how far light travels in a year. Even with both ends of the universe traveling outward over 47 years, that would be 94 light years of expansions assuming the celestial bodies are moving the speed of light. Anyone got a logical explanation or am I just understanding it wrong?
