@gzreel: Imagine a camera fast enough to capture the very movement of light itself! Researchers at MIT have developed an ultra-fast imaging system that can snap billions of frames per second, revealing the paths of light pulses through various objects. This breakthrough allows us to visualize and study phenomena that happen too swiftly for traditional cameras. By employing these specialized techniques, scientists can slow down the seemingly instantaneous speed of light to analyze its journey in detail. This innovation opens new doors in physics, materials science, and medical imaging, providing deeper insights into processes that were once invisible to the human eye.
somewhere there is a Miata owner already planning his build lol

the good thing about this is that it eliminates the use of water to cool the engine just air cool and increase its durability .. when durability increases the manufacturer can't sell parts when they can't sell anything they lose their interest in it parts are made to be broken at certain point .. it's good but not for their money

This is another example of a brilliant engine that sounds like it should replace all others that we will never see

Alright I looked into it briefly from articles dating back to 2024. It’s a built concept but not available to the public. Focus has shifted to other projects. According to Astron's statistics, a single Omega 1 engine can generate around 160 horsepower weighs only 35 pounds. You can stack multiple Omega 1s together to compound their speed while still weighing relatively little. So maybe the claim from the vid is based on compounding rather than a sole engine. It expels nitrogen oxide but significantly less compared to other vehicles so they want to implement the use of hydrogen cells. It expels harmless water vapor, but it doesn’t provide enough information as to whether it can be exhausted out via a line or not. So maybe the engine needs to be encased in another enclosure to capture and exhaust out without impacting the engine and components. Looks cool though.

it’s deleted of the internet because they either plan to use it in military applications or are waiting for the right time to use them in cars

Let’s see what automotive industry takes this engine first, and if it delivers what it promises.

Metal expands when exposed to intense heat. If the outer housing expands faster than the inner rotors during combustion, those tight gaps could widen and cause a huge loss of compression. The concept looks amazing on paper, but the actual challenge is proving it can handle massive thermal expansion under real world stress.

The diagram says “without even using a piston” and then seconds into the video it says, “each with a rotating piston”. So does it have pistons or does it not?! 😂
