Please stop putting breast milk in your baby’s eyes. Just because something is “natural” does not mean it’s safe—or effective. Breast milk has never been proven to treat eye infections, blocked tear ducts, pink eye, or other infant eye conditions. What it can do is delay a proper diagnosis while a potentially serious problem continues to worsen. A red, swollen, irritated, or discharge-filled eye may be much more than a simple blocked tear duct. In some cases, vision-threatening conditions can initially look deceptively benign. Treating these conditions with internet remedies instead of seeking medical care can have real consequences. Your baby’s eyes deserve more than a home remedy. If you’re concerned about an eye problem, see a pediatrician or eye doctor who can determine the actual cause and recommend treatment backed by evidence—not social media folklore. Natural doesn’t automatically mean harmless. And when it comes to your child’s vision, guessing is not a treatment plan. #BabyHealth #NewbornCare #InfantEyeCare #PediatricOphthalmology #ChildHealth
