Another big issue with tank: there are way too many things to manage at once. Ramattra for example, you have to watch your health, your nemesis timer, your barrier health and timer, protecting your teammates, the enemy cooldowns, your health, all the enemies you’re fighting, your positioning. Cassidy just has to click heads, and manage 2 cooldowns.

I was a tank player like a year ago I left for rivals and left agian for Deadlock and it's the first game where playing the big tank is fun and I don't feel that pressured to be perfect all the time

As a tank main. Don’t do it, just play 6v6 it’s going to be the main game mode eventually. It’s practically impossible to carry as a solo tank. All you are is cooldown spam but if you do want to play 5v5 tank then learn your tank in 6v6 and then switch to 5v5.

5v5 really just highlighted the issues the game had. It’s incredibly frustrating when you have to tank AND play rock paper scissors every few minutes. I love playing Ram and he’s fairly good into most hero’s but there’s people that try hard so much that I have to start playing counterwatch. The game at that point just turns into which team can play the most meta hero’s

As a tank main, I legit do love playing it. The one thing I absolutely hate as a tank main is the counter swapping issue. I’ve kept track for the last week, playing everyday, out of pettiness. I have been counter swapped 87% of the time throughout this week, and about 31% of the time it’s by 2-4 people on the opposing team. It’s genuinely demotivating to have to swap, switching the team comp as a result.

It’s SO hard because you’re so dependent on your dps counterswapping for the enemy tank more than yourself. I will counter swap when I need to ofc but dos almost never want to swap to counter even tho it would make the teams life easier, they just wanna play what they wanna play

5v5 has pushed counter swapping into being far more prevelance as well . in 6v6 the second tank can help cover for the other tanks weakness

In Overwatch 1 tank was my second most played role, and I would actively be excited to play tank. In Overwatch 2, I play MAYBE 3 games of tank a season, if that, because it just feels THAT bad to play tank in 5v5.

what pushes me away from tank is people thinking that since it's the most important role it's the only reason we lost, I could be going 36-8 with 24k damage and still lose because DPS is going 17-12 with 10k damage, and sups just blatently ignoring or missing me while I keep LOS.
